In 2001 Lars got the opportunity to start a new travel business for young travellers. He started Work & Travel Company with focus on working holidays to Australia and New Zealand.

The company was very successful and became market leader in Sweden in this youth segment. Eventually it merged with a Norwegian competitor named GoXplore in 2009.

The new company grew quickly and had offices in Oslo, Helsinki, Stockholm and Helsingborg, with a team of 20+ staff.

In 2013 Lars sold his shares in the company to the two business partners and left the youth travel market.
